Hello, I’m Docker

Pronouns: They/Them/Theirs

I am an early-career researcher in NYU’s Department of Environmental Studies, where I currently investigate the complex externalities of animal agriculture. My work sits at the intersection of soil science, bioremediation, and biogeochemical cycles, driven by a commitment to clear data visualization and scientific reproducibility/accessibility. I am particularly passionate about identifying gaps in primary research to make environmental science more accessible and transparent.

Beyond the lab, my identity as a queer person deeply informs my perspective of the natural world. As ecosystems thrive on diversity and interdependence, our approach to environmental solutions must be equally fluid and inclusive. I bring this perspective to every facet of my life- whether I’m tracing nutrient cycles, playing music, or knitting an enormous blanket. Science and art can both be tools for uncovering the patterns that connect us to the earth, and frankly, I wouldn’t be able to live with only one of the two.
